WHO IS BIMBO QUEENS?
Bimbo Queens is a simple lady with a gorgeous smile. (Laughs). Am just a young simple being taking and appreciate life each day am blessed to breathe.
WHAT WAS GROWING UP LIKE?
Bimbo Queens: Well I won’t say I had a diamond spoon upbringing but I dint have to ask for anything more than twice from my parents. In my opinion my upbringing was just perfect. Having the kind of family I have, nothing else really does matter I will say.
YOU ARE ARE A COMPUTER TECH GRADUATE RIGHT?
Bimbo Queens: Yes I’m a computer technology graduate.
WHAT MADE YOU REALIZE THAT MUSIC IS YOUR PATH?
Bimbo Queens: I have always loved to sing. Right from when I was at the age of 10/11yrs old maybe. But I was a really shy singer. My dad used to promise me a piano back then. But well he never got me one. I will get it no matter what year he decides to get it. (*wink*)
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING MUSIC?
Bimbo Queens: Well I have been doing music behind closed doors :). But I hit the studio in 2009. When I went along with some friends just to see how things are in the studio and I started to jump in on their beat just to freestyle. And they proposed I dropped a verse. That’s pretty much how my studio life began.
WHEN DID YOU RECORD YOUR FIRST SONG?
Bimbo Queens: I recorded some tracks in 2009. But they were not up to standard as I was still not used to the surroundings. But recorded my first official track in 2012.
WHAT IS LIFE LIKE FOR YOU,A NIGERIA GIRL TRYING TO MAKE IT IN UK?
Bimbo Queens: In UK? Well I go to UK as often but i would say am Europe based. Not sited in one place. And life well could be draining but I always try as hard to be positive in all situations.
WHAT MAKE YOUR MUSIC UNIQUE?
Bimbo Queens: I make my music unique I would say (smiles). Am a unique creature. Well my music speaks to all; both genders and all ages.
WHO ARE ARE YOUR BIGGEST MUSIC INFLUENCES
Bimbo Queens: Tuface as always been a great influence so far and likes of “Style Plus”, “P-square” “Tiwa Savage”. So sad the style plus crew are hardly out this days.
WHAT SONG OF YOURS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
Bimbo Queens: I am greatly proud of them all so far. They have made way for me. Its hard to choose the best.
WHATS THE STORY BEHIND LALALAH? *
Bimbo Queens: Lahlahlah… Hmm well the story behind that track.. In year 2012 after my first single was released I had to hit the studio again to continue with my work and when I got to the studio my producer played the beat but I didn’t like it at all. But then he forced me to just sing on it and see how I feel after. So we just had fun with it. And boom the track was a bang. I love that track much. And everyone loves it. At least those have heard (*smiles*)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR LATEST VIDEO “YOUR LOVE”?
Bimbo Queens: My latest video been “Your Love” as been a great success, the track was produced by “Fejay-dave” and the video was directed by “Victor O’ Frank”, so far the video as made it through some promotions on TV. I am really proud of my achievements and I thank God for everything.
WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED BREAKING IN MUSIC INDUSTRY?
Bimbo Queens: I have faced lots of challenges, some which I can’t go deep into. But at this stage in my career I just give thanks to my creator and those great artist that let you know always that its never a easy ride but when determined you can make it. And my family is a strong rock I rest my back on.
ANY PLAN OF COMING BACK TO NIGERIA TO PURSUE YOUR CAREER LIKE TIWA SAVAGE,BANKY W AND THE REST?
Bimbo Queens: Yes am greatly working on that. The competition in the Nigerian Industry is really high. God help me.
WHO IS YOUR CELEBRITY CRUSH?
Bimbo Queens: (Laughs). Errmm. I really do like “Ice Prince” a lot. And I will be so lucky to have him in my music.
IF YOU CAN,WHAT WOULD CHANGE ABOUT YOURSELF?
Bimbo Queens: Can’t put a finger on anything I can change about me.
IF IT WASN’T MUSIC… WHAT OTHER PROFESSION WOULD YOU HAVE OPTED FOR?
Bimbo Queens: I would go for a job related to what I studied.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT WORKING?
Bimbo Queens: In my not-working times I just watch movies or gist with my bodies 🙂
WHATS YOUR KIND OF MAN?
Bimbo Queens: My kind of man is a man who respects himself. A man that knows what he wants and how to be composed in any situation. A God first, family second, and every other things after “kind of man” :-).
WHAT IMPORTANT LESSON HAVE YOU LEARNT SO FAR IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY?
Bimbo Queens: Always focus on the positive and never on the negative.
